Suffern Dentist Office
If you have a tooth that needs reinforcement or to be cosmetically enhanced, a crown is the clear solution. And for restoring full teeth, Dr. Lifshitz is pleased to offer bridges. Our
Suffern dentist office makes it a priority to help you to have a mouth full of strong, great-looking teeth.
Some of the reasons why you might need a crown include fixing a tooth that is chipped or cracked, crooked, or discolored. In addition, any tooth weakened by advanced decay will require a crown. You may also want to cover a discolored, crooked, or misshapen tooth. One is also used to restore a tooth to full size after it has undergone root canal. And crowns are also a key part of fixed bridges, which we will get to in a moment. In order to fit you with a crown, our
Suffern dentist will take impressions, which are sent to the dental lab. There your crown is made. You will then return to our office to have the crown cemented to your tooth. A bridge, either fixed or removable, is the solution for replacing one or more teeth that have been lost. A fixed bridge is cemented to your gum line and held in on either side by attaching anchors. This requires that the two teeth are filed down. The anchors are then placed, and crowns are cemented on top for maximum reliability. Or you can get a removable bridge, which is also called a set of partial dentures. You use dental adhesive to hold it to your gums when you wear them. And there are clasps that connect to the surrounding teeth. As with crowns, both types of bridges are also made from impressions that our
Suffern dentist takes.
Set up an appointment to come in for a crown or a bridge so that you can have a smile you'll be proud to show off; one that is full and attractive.
